The All Comers meet is the first meet of the season and all swimmers from Montgomery Village are invited to participate. This meet serves as a time trial for swimmers to record their times prior to the start of the regular meet schedule. There is a small entrance fee for each event in which the swimmer participates. Please be sure to sign up during registration for the All Comers Meet. "A" Relay Carnival This is a very exciting meet in which the top swimmers of each team in the division compete against each other in a variety of relay races. Each relay team consists of four swimmers and may be of mixed ages or genders depending on the event. Because of the limited number of events, some swimmers who regularly swim in the Saturday meets will not be able to swim in the "A" Relay Carnival. "B" Relay Carnival The "B" Relay Carnival is held every summer to give those swimmers who did not have the opportunity to swim in the "A" Relay Carnival the chance to experience the fun and excitement of a relay meet. Each relay team consists of four swimmers and may be of mixed ages or genders depending on the event. First priority for swimming in this meet is given to swimmers who did not swim in the "A" Relay Carnival. However, because of the large number of swimmers needed, occasionally a swimmer who was in the "A" Relay Carnival will swim in the "B" Relay Carnival to complete a four person team (which allows three additional swimmers to compete). There are very specific rules guiding eligibility. However, it is important for all swimmers to check the "B" Relay Carnival line-up, even if they do not typically swim in the "B" meets. Swimmers and parents should also realize that a few swimmers may be swimming more than one event. This will depend on the number of eligible swimmers in each age group. Putting together a relay carnival line-up is very complicated, with one change affecting many other relay teams and events. Please let the coach know as soon as possible if a swimmer is not going to be available and be prepared for last minute changes that may occur. Division Championship Meet
This is the last meet of the regular summer
swim season. All teams in the division typically send their top two swimmers
for each event. There are two heats for each individual event and one heat
of the relay events.
The Lollipop Mini Meet is a great event
open to all B-Meet and Pre Team swimmers ages 8 and under. Pre-Team Mini-Meet Our Pre-Team has a inner squad mini-meet scheduled for this year on Sunday, TBA. It is a time when the youngest members of our team show off their skills to friends and relatives. The meet is run entirely by our older swimmers who serve as announcers, timers, and ribbon writers. Video cameras abound as we all come out to cheer for the youngest members of our team.
